A few places are still available on a writing and photography workshop, 1st - 5th June 2019, on the atmospheric island of Iona, off the west coast of Scotland. It will be run jointly by myself and Angela Locke, a renowned creative writing tutor. Her website can be seen here. Accommodation and base will be at the wonderful Argyll Hotel whose website can be seen here. A booking can be made direct with the hotel on 01681-700334.
The aim of the course is to bring photography and writing together in a deeply creative and practical experience. Workshop learning and discussion will be mixed with photography on the most sacred of islands in the Hebrides. The course will help participants put into words what their own photography means to them. To write about photographs and photography, developing themes and ideas. Both of us bring a wealth of experience. Angela through her creative writing and me through extensive photography in the Hebrides, including Iona. We will take full advantage of the incredible Atlantic light at this time of year and take a trip to the island of Staffa, visiting Fingal's Cave. Should more information be required please get in touch via the contacts page on this website.
